Site Speed
I have a lot of issues with my site speed since changing to Hello Beaches. My site speed is very low and I cannot figure out what to do more. It seems to be because of the theme..
It is a big issue, since getting Hello Beaches my SEO became worse and I dropped a few places on my highest searches. Can you please help me get back to a great sitespeed? If it cannot be fixed I need to switch back, which means the theme is unusable for me and a waste of money.
I use PageSpeed Insights and I used to get almost 90, now I get only between 40-50 on mobile.

My website is: https://groetjesuitverweggistan.nl/
Thank you!
There is nothing in the theme that will slow the site. It is light weight, no page builders or extra fluff. When I went to your site it loaded just fine, no lag. When I run your page speed insights it says server response time, which is your hosting. It also says enable a cache. Hosting can do that for you as well. For the images, you can compress them with a plugin, or re save them all as web optimized images. Really the only thing I would do is get my cached turned on, possibly look at a faster host. The page insights, and google speed times are not your actual times and are really strict on measurements. They give a false sense that the site is not doing good. A good way to compare is take your favorite site that you know loads good, and see how they rank.
Thank you for checking for me! I already downsize my images, but I know also added a plugin to compress images and it works very well. I already have cache turned on, but will contact my host to see if we can change it a little more.
I did see negative results after installing Hello Beaches, but after your tips I think it might have to do with it being an image heavy theme (which I love) and images making it slow, while my previous theme did not have that many images. Thank you for helping me out by checking the recommendations!
