Hello Beaches – top 3 categories

I would like to make the ‘top 3 post categories’-like section used in Shores in my Hello Beaches theme, but I cannot figure out how to get 3 images like that clickable with categories. Is this custom html? Is there anywhere to find it?
The only thing I can come up with is downloading the demo and installing it, but it seems a lot of work since my website is already up and running and finished except for this part. Because it is not on the homepage in Hello Beaches I can’t find it in the setup guide.

The best thing is to download the Genesis Featured Page Advanced plugin. Then use it in those widget spots. That will let you load a custom image, and link to a category or any spot on your site so you are not limited to just a page or post.

replied 2 years ago Thank you. Do you have more info on the settings? If I add a photo I get very large photos, not the nice small ones you have in the demo. Are these photos edited before uploading? Which size should I make them?
Support TeamThat area is flexible, so you have to have the 3. It is the same set up as the main but with a different widget, using the featured page advanced vs the featured page.

replied 2 years ago I am sorry but it does not work. I don’t really understand why I need to share my login, can you just please send me the settings used in the demo? They are also used in Hello Beaches but not on the homepage, which is why they are not explained in the setup page.
The instructions are in the setup guide. It is the exact same as the main theme, but using the Genesis Featured Page advanced widget in those spots so you can link to a category instead of a page. If you need further assistance, we can log on and help. Otherwise our hands are tied to these general instructions.
If you are not comfortable sharing your login, you can create us one to access the site and see what you have done, and then remove it when we are done.
