Hello Shores: Setting Up the Top 3 Categories
Hi! I’m trying to get my home page to look like the Hello Shores example and I’ve not been able to find any information on removing the sidebar and blog entry and converting it to the categories as displayed on Hello Shores. Appreciate any help you can provide – thank you!

I answered my own question ๐if you do the following:
Step 1:
Remove content from homepage –
The site in the settings should be set as follows: Settings > Reading > Latest Posts
Then to remove the blog from the homepage you go to Appearance > Customizer > Front Page Content and select hide.
Step 2:
The content displayed at the bottom of the Hello Shores demo site is contained within the “Image Section” widget area. Simply pop the categories widget in here and set as desired.
I hope this helps others work out what to do. ๐ป
Hi Angie,
Thanks for this! I’m also trying to make my home page look like the Hello Shores demo. Do you know where to find the forest background images as shown in the homepage of Hello Shores?
Thanks!
Kari
You can right click on the background images in the demo and save them to your desktop to load.
Hiya, thank you so much for your quick response. Unfortunately I’ve been trying this but it’s not allowing me to right click to save the background. I’ve tried this on a few devices too. It is only letting me save the pictures and not the background images. Is there any other way I can get the background forest image? Thank you for your help.
Kari
