I made a video here that explains my question best.
Looks like the Footer 1 widget holds HTML that creates the 3 column effect. I was able to edit most of it successfully except for the Menu that should be in the middle. Nothing shows up but the code appears to call a menu via a number “nav_menu”:21. Not sure how to find the # associated with it.
Also, if I just wanted to have a 3 column widgetized footer section (basically “looks” like what you did in HTML), is that possible?

Yes, you could do that.  For the nav menu, if it is not working you would need to delete the nav widget, then readd.  Sometimes those classic widgets need to be removed then readded to work correctly.
