Featured Pages linked on front page

Hello
I’m trying to set up a featured widget area with 3 images that link to a page on the site (highlighting 3 main pages). I’m using the Hello and Co theme. I love the look of the Featured Posts plugin which displays the featured image of the post and in the middle on top of that image it shows the title of the post and a white box around it. I’m hoping to do something like that but with the 3 pages I’d like to highlight. However using the Genesis Featured Page I only get it to display as if I was doing an excerpt of one page.
Hopefully I was able to explain properly.
Is there a way to achieve this?

What is your URL? And then what widget area, or inbetween which widget areas did you want it to go? I think I may understand.
