Featured Widget Hello and Co theme

I am trying to setup the featured widget in the Hello and Co theme to look exactly like it does in the demo, except instead of using the featured post widget I would like it to point to specific categories that I choose. How can I do this so that there is still an image with a title box on top of it? Does this even make sense?

Download and install the Genesis Featured Page Advanced and then you can follow the setup on the widget.  I do not believe it will have a title box however, only a hover.
