Footer editing

I can not for life of me figure out how to edit the links in the footer menu! I went to appearance, customize… but I cant get it to work and go to the menu to allow for changes to be made.

The footer is holding a menu widget.  You would change the menu items at Appearance > Menu.  If you just changed the menu items, it should do it automatically.  If you created a new one you would need to go to the widget area and select that menu from the dropdown in the widget that is holding the menu.

How do you edit the text of the footer menu, The Shop, The Links, etc.
