Kadence Hello Boho – Optin Setup

I saw the question that was already asked about this but it doesn’t answer my question. I use Convertkit – do I need to delete the option box on the home page for this theme and then create an option from CK and install it on the site? Or do I keep the option where it is and somehow connect it via CK?

Thanks for your help.

There are a few ways to do it.  If you are adding it to the sidebar, or footer area where a widget is, you can use the old Genesis Enews to connect your convertkit.  The best way though is to use a custom html block and then embed the form that convertkit provides.  So you would delete the demo code, because that is usually flodesk code, and then replace it with your convertkit code.

I’m using Kadence and the Hello Boho theme comes with a block for an optin right above the fold on the home page. To clarify – I can replace the code in the box (that came with the theme) with code from CK?

Is it possible to move that element down below the fold? it doesn’t seem to be a block and I’ve been struggling with trying to figure both of these things out.

That whole section is the main image section and the white block that holds the message and optin. So you can move that whole thing down, but not just the white block as it is a part of that main section. Yes, you would remove the code that is in the custom html block, and replace with your CK code.
