kadence “widget” glitch

QuestionsCategory: Questionskadence “widget” glitch

I am redoing my blog page. I drop in the template from the \”blog template\” from kadence. It will not update at all.
It keeps showing sidebar 1 as part of the blog (I can NOT remove it under widgets) see 1st photo for what my widget page looks like.
The blog template is not even showing up when I edit it. Picture two is what it should look like right before I drop my photos and words in. Picture 3 is how it looks when hitting save.

Thank you I got it fixed. Next question… I am adding in two more photos: Photo one shows what it looks like when I am editing, but photo two shows live. Why does the category separate like that? In the edit mode the word photography is easily followed by the word (newborn, baby etc) but in the live its on the next line before the word. I tried to change the font size and it didn’t help.
Next, below the photo it has a spot that says from the top category and “post” how do I get anything to appear in this spot?

The custom blog and the normal blog page are two separate pages.  With WordPress if you assign a page to the blog setting under Settings > Reading > it will auto populate the blog posts to that page and override anything on it.  So your custom blog page that you are creating in image 2 needs to not be that set page.  It should be a standalone empty page.

Sometimes there are hiccups when you do the demo import for the widgets.  What that is saying in image 1 is that there is an error with the custom HTMl block.  You can go through each widget and find where the error is.  Usually it is just removing the block and adding it back in.
