I have the Hello Nouveau theme.  When I look at on mobile, I notice there is a delay for the pictures to show up when I am scrolling.  I didn’t use the retina picture sizes since the larger photos really slowed down the speed of the site.  In addition, the testimonial plugin that you are using isn’t good for mobile. It isn’t responsive.   What do you suggest?  I think with the new updated wordpress, you can just use shortcodes for testimonials? I don’t know how that will work with your theme.  Lastly, I wanted to have a category with pictures from Woo Commerce similar to popular shopping items.  It isn’t an option with woo commerce.  Here is my site:  https://thenakedbotanical.com

Have you modified the code?  When I view your site on mobile it is not displaying right.  The testimonial plugin is a mobile repsonsive plugin and should be adjusting down with the width of your site.  I’ve replaced the news section on the demo with the testimonial roator so you can see how it would look with your site.  I’ve also attached it here in the chat.

For the images, the sizes recommended would not have a speed impact.  It is a difference of a few kb, unless you are trying to load PNG or other heavy file types.

The best way to do the Category is to use the Genesis Featured Adavanced plugin.  With that plugin you can use custom links, images and even titles and link to anywhere on your site.  A flexible widget area would be best, then you can highlight as many as you would want.

Feel free to send a login over and I can see why it is happening and offer some solutions.

I didn’t modify the code. It was an issue when I set up the site. I even tried to contact the plugin developer but he never replied. I can email you with my log in info. Check your spam because I think my email goes into your spam.

WordPress now has shortcodes for testimonals via Guttenberg update. Do we still need the plugin at this point?

As for the photos, on mobile, they don’t load unless I scroll down and then they appear. This concerns me.

By the way, I don’t know if you respond to me via this forum. I don’t get an email via wordpress. I have to check back to see if you responded.
