Outdated Theme Files – Woocommerce – Theme: Hello Gorgeous
After I log in to my wordpress site, I see the following error message regarding my theme Hello Gorgeous. I have the latest version installed so not sure where to from here.
Your theme (Hello Gorgeous) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this:
- Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version.
- If you copied over a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and apply your changes again.
I don’t and won’t touch any of the templates in the back end for fear of stuffing something up, so your help would be appreciated.

The themes do not use woocommerce templates. This would have been something that was added to your site by either a designer or plugin. Usually it is custom email templates or a checkout sequence.
I understand the themes do not use woocommerce templates. Woocommerce is saying the theme templates are out of date and not compatible.
By custom email templates, are you referring to an email template setup in Woocommerce? Thanks!!
Also, I am not sure why I am not receiving any emails from Hello You. I didn’t receive a notification that my question was responded to 🙁 Any thoughts? Thanks!!
Woocommerce is saying that the template files are out of date. Those are specific to woocommerce. They do not mean the theme file. Did you customize your woocommerce emails? If so then it would be those email templates. Or if you added custom code to your woocommerce shop.
I cant say why you may not be getting notifications from the site. We do have issues with our messages going to spam or getting stuck in cyber space, and is why we have the q and a site. That way you will always see the message and it will not be lost.

Thanks for your reply. Much appreciated. I will look into the woocommerce email template and hopefully it will be a simple fix.

I’m not sure what was added, or modified. This would not be considered theme support. Did you hire a designer to work on the site? If so they would be best to ask what was added. Are you running any plugins that adjusted the woocommerce templates for you?
