How can I remove the “about the author” on just the page I’m using for the static homepage?

I added a screenshot to the original question since I have the site down for maintenance while I’m updating the theme.

Is it that part that is in a tab? “Under the Covers Book Blog” If so that is not a theme feature. That must be being pulled in from a plugin. Without being able to inspect the code I don’t know where to direct you on which one it could be. If you would like to email login details to support@helloyoudesigns.com we can hop on and see what is adding that.
