Hi,
I purchased the theme Hello Sassafras. I installed the Genesis zip, then uploaded the theme zip it asks me to replace the current Genesis theme. When I click that I get an error that says the parent theme is missing. I try to look for the theme to activate it but it doesn\’t show up in the theme options.

Delete and then reinstall Genesis.  When this error happens that usually means something happened when you were installing genesis.

I’ve done it twice. I wonder if it has to do with me compressing the files. I have a Mac and when I downloaded the files they are not in a zip. I found that question… so I compressed it. How can I fix this?

That is most likely it. They are not being compressed right. You can turn that feature off so your browser does not automatically do it. If that doesn’t work, feel free to shoot over the URL and login details to support@helloyoudesigns.com and we can log on and install the file for you.
