Upgrading to Kadence

Hello! I wanted to ask a few things about Kadence. I currently own several themes (Genesis) and I was looking at using my Hello Niche theme. Would like to use Kadence with it, which I understand I have to buy the Kadence theme for it.
1 – Will there be a discount code for someone that already owns the Genesis version? Or just wait for a general sale?
2 – If I want to modify something on the main welcome page that I was not able to achieve before with the old format using the widgets and the Blocks would give me that functionality… Am I correct in thinking that the main page can be modified with blocks versus widgets in the Kadence child theme? For example, buying the blocks package from a different design for an element I’d like to add.

The discount to upgrade for that particular theme has expired, but you can reach out to jennifer@helloyoudesigns.com and let her know you are thinking about upgrading. The next sale scheduled is in July.
2 – That is correct. The kadence theme does not use widgets for the homepage. So you can easily duplicate it, move it the sections around, add sections to it. And if you decide to add on a block library collection, you can mix in the blocks from that collection with the niche homepage.
