I have been through the setup guide and created the pictures with the size requirements, but where do I go to put the images in for the grid?

I put the images in at the correct sizes however WordPress was saying the images are too small and also they don’t line up some photos are longer than others making the 4 photos together look staggered instead of like a rectangle

You can use a Genesis Featured Page widget and add it to the featured image of the page you want to display.  An image widget and use a link.  Or even a Genesis featured page advanced widget.
