Theme not transferring to WordPress pages or posts

Hello! I have customized our theme and it appears when I am under the “customize” theme section, but it is not transferring to my pages or posts when I preview them. It is still the basic hello you sassafras template, but not the background, color banner, etc. that we have added. Can you please help? Thank you!!

This could be two things. Are you saving and publishing in the customizer? Or saving it as a draft? Check what the button says when saving. If draft, it does not push changes live and would need to be adjusted to publish.
The other issue it could be is that the theme needs to be updated to the latest version.
