Change Required fields in comment box

Hi,
Are we able to change the required fields in the comment box form – – I would like to eliminate a lot of the fields it’s asking for so that people are more likely to comment.

You can modifiy this by adding code to your theme.  There are even plugins that will do it.  What did you want to eliminate?

I would like to eliminate everything and just leave name (optional) and then comment (required)

Doing that would allow the spam bots to leave comments way to easy. You would be overrun with spam. I can tell you how to do it, but really do not recommend it. Are you comfortable working in the functions.php file?
