Gutenberg blocks toolbar not appearing?

QuestionsCategory: QuestionsGutenberg blocks toolbar not appearing?

Hello!
When adding a post or a page, the gutenberg toolbar isn’t showing? Like the plus sign, back button, etc. If I hover over the area that the plus sign should be, I can actually add the block, but It’s just annoying that it’s not showing up and the thumbnails that preview what the block is supposed to look like are also not working.  I’ve reached out to my hosting platform and they couldn’t figure out a solution so I thought I’d try here. Is this a bug or a coding problem?

Thanks in advance!!

There is not anything in the theme files that would keep this from happening. Do you know if you have everything up to date? WordPress? Genesis? It could also be a plugin conflict.

As far as I know, everything is up to date! I’ve had problems with the simple social icons in the past… could that be it?

Also, is there a way for me to change the font on the “Read the Post” button on the blog tab of hello blush? It’s just the word “the” that doesn’t match the rest of the site!

It wouldn’t be from the accessibility issue, but sounds like it is in the settings for your install. If possible I would start with a fresh install, or maybe consider swapping hosts.

Yes, on line 338 you will find this

.more-link em

lumped in with the other spots for the script font. Move that to whichever font family you want to use in your theme. Then on line 245 you will find the size and style that can be adjusted.

Hi Jennifer!

thanks for your response! I’ll check with my hosting platform again.

Can you explain the font change differently? I’m totally not “techy” at all and my efforts to follow your above instructions have failed 😰
