Hello Darling Theme

Hi there! I’ve used the Hello Darling theme for many years, and recently it has become heavily infected with malware. We are working to remove it, but I’m planning to change my site to the Hello Coach theme instead. I’m just wondering, do the retired themes require a stronger security?

If a retired theme can not run on the latest wordpress and php, it needs to be changed and does pose a security risk.  The same will happen with plugins.  It is why it is always important to make sure the site is up to date with everything.    The retired Darling theme will still run with the latest wordpress and php at the moment.
