I bought the Kadence version of Hello Chic (I used to have the Genesis version) however, it’s not clear if I need to install the required plugins by myself and deactivate the previous themes (genesis and hello chic) before I install and launch the theme? Thanks!

The new theme is a different framework, so it will automatically install without you needing to remove the genesis version. Then in the setup process it will install your plugins and demo content. If you want, you can deactivate all plugins before installing the theme. Then only reactivate the ones you find you need, and delete those that you no longer use.
