How to customize content on the homepage

I want to show the content on my homepage but can’t see option to edit that section. It looks like an all of nothing feature. Can the content section be customized?

You can go to the Customizer and in the Front Page content settings spot, change the wording, and choose to hide or show the section. But as far as the style, no, it can not be adjusted. You can adjust it if you are familiar with code.
