Hi, I am confused. When setting up my menu categories what is the point of the description box? I was under the impression it was for key words that someone may be searching for? but now I see the entire description shows up on my menu with my category so I have obviously been mistaken. Could you clarify this for me?

The description box is used in our themes as an accent to your main menu item. An example is above where “support HOME” and “wordpress VIDEOS”. For keywords you would use the archive settings for that category. You access that by going to Posts > Categories > Find the category you want to add SEO info to and click edit. It will then open the archive screen for that category. Scroll towards the bottom and you will see the SEO settings for that category.

Thanks, what I had put into the archived setting for key words was automatically copied into the description box in menu which is why I was seeing all of it. I went into the description box and deleted everything and then just left everything in the archive and It seems to be fine now. Thankyou!
