PHP is an Insecure Version

Hello!
Wordpress is alerting me that I’m running an insecure version of PHP and that an update is required. I’ve installed a plugin to try and pinpoint exactly what the issue is (the PHP Compatibility Checker plugin), but it can’t tell me if it’s a server issue or a theme issue, so I’m just trying to cover all my basis.
How can I tell if the PHP in my theme is updated? Is this strictly a server issue and something I need to reach out to my host about?

With this it can be both. If the theme is not updated, it can not run the latest version of php. But running the latest version is on the host. As long as you have a recent copy of your theme installed, you will be good to update the php. All of our demo sites are currently running 7.3.
