Reduce space between posts on homepage / between category & title

Hi! Could you kindly help me with a little bit of tidying up on my Hello Boho theme? I have acquired a big gap of white space on my home page between the subscribe box and ‘new posts’ title (see attached). Nothing I do seems to get rid of it.
Also there’s a funny gap/white space on the featured blog posts (on my home page) between the category name and the title of the post (picture also attached). My web page is here if that helps: https://crepesandcastles.com
Lastly, could I ask, I can’t seem to figure out how to make my footer look nice like yours <sobs>. I checked the design blocks but couldn’t see that footer menu. Have I deleted it forever or is there a way to get that block/widget back..?
Also I love your instagram tiles across the bottom! How did you do that…?
Thanks bazillions! It’s taken forever, but thanks to you, my home page is finally taking shape!

Can you email me login info – jennifer@helloyoudesigns.com
I’ll hop on and remove the spacing between the featured image and excerpt.  Also add back in the footer info.
For the gap below the optin, and the new posts, on my screen I see tags, or categories, I’ve attached a screenshot.

Sorry I’m not sure where my comment went.. Sorry if this is duplicate. Thank you so much, I’ve sent a log in. And purged the cache so hopefully it matches the last screenshot. Should be the space under the subscribe box and above the title for New Posts. Thanks sooo much

Was able to log on. The gap from the title to the featured image, this is in your additional CSS

.entry-title {
padding-top: 50px;
}

It is the code that is causing that gap. I’m not sure what this was added for. Do you want me to remove it, or leave it, or shrink it?

Hi Jennifer! Sorry for the delay, I spent some time looking for that CSS code, I'm sorry I can't see where that is. Would you mind removing it for me…? This is on the blog posts section of the home page, right? Attaching a screenshot (it's the space in the pink circles) Thank you!

Sorry the attachment isn’t coming up, so I’ve uploaded it here —> https://crepesandcastles.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Screenshot-2024-07-15-at-17.51.08.png

Yes, it is for that gap there. I’ve removed it from the code. The code was in the customizer, under additional CSS, line 14. I’m not sure what else it was added for on the site. If you find a spot that needs to be adjusted let me know, and I can provide more specific coding that will not effect so many areas.

Wow you are amazing, thank you, that looks so much better! Could I ask, you know the question on the footer, could you tell me where I could find those blocks again?

Carrie-Anne Hall replied 12 months ago

Sorry, just re-posting this query in case it got lost – could you help me restore your original footer or point me to the design blocks? Thank you!!! x

Jennifer Staff replied 12 months ago

When restoring the original footer, I will need to move what is in it out, is that okay? And i’ll place the demo content in, then you can modify from there.

That would be fantastic! Thank you so much!
